After the humongous success of their last release Judwaa 2, the father-son duo of David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan is all set to remake another 90’s blockbuster comic-caper, Biwi No. 1. Interestingly, Judwaa and Biwi No. 1 both the films were headlined by superstar Salman Khan and Karishma Kapoor. If reports of Biwi No. 1 turn out to be true, the film will mark the third collaboration for the father-son duo after Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. “The discussions are presently at a nascent stage. The Dhawans will start work on the film in the coming year. Biwi No.1 is one of Varun’s favourite films and he is excited to collaborate with his father once again. Shooting dates and casting of the leading ladies will begin once the final script is locked,” reveals a close source.

2017 has been an amazing year for actor Varun Dhawan. His first release of the year, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, was an instant hit at the box office, earning over Rs. 100 crores. His next film, Judwaa 2, turned out to be a bigger hit than Badrinath Ki Dulhania and joined the coveted Rs. 100 crore club within days of release.

Varun Dhawan is currently busy with Shoojit Sircar‘s upcoming film, October. After completing his work for Sircar‘s movie, the actor will move on to shoot Sui Dhaaga with Anushka Sharma. The film is being produced by Yash Raj Films.
