The year 2018 will see many fresh pairs on the big screen. With new onscreen pairs, it will be very exciting to see how the chemistry will pan out. One of the pairs coming together will be Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. The film went on the floor in early January 2018 in Mumbai.

While Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are shooting in Dharavi in Mumbai, the makers had not announced when the film would release until now. On Saturday afternoon, Ranveer shared the first look of himself and his leading lady Alia Bhatt. Lost in deep thought, the first look is pretty intense. Along with the photograph, Ranveer also announced the film will arrive on February 14, 2019.

In the first look, Alia Bhatt is seen in a dress with a grey hijaab while lost in a deep thought. She is sporting a simple look with minimal makeup. Ranveer, on the other hand, is donning a hoodie with a tense expression on his face.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy will bring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on the big screen for the very first time. Although they have worked in a couple of ads for an e-com travel portal, this will be their first film together. This would be the second collaboration between Zoya and Ranveer after Dil Dhadakne Do.
