‘Teen Titans Go! To The Movies’: New Poster Puts The Spotlight On Deathstroke!!! Check It Out!!

Looks like the archenemy of the Teen Titans is finally getting the love he deserves from the controversial reboot.

In the latest poster for the upcoming Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, a new image of the long missing Deathstroke (Will Arnett) made up words colored like the character’s suit from the classic series has been revealed. Said words say ominous things like “Obey”, “Mind Control”, and “I Control You”, while being placed in front of a spiral background, making it all the more eerie. This might imply that Deathstroke may have some sort of mind control or hypnosis-based scheme up his sleeve in the movie, which is definitely right up the animated version of the character’s alley.

Teen Titans Go To The Movies Deathstroke Poster

Given how the show has never used the character before, it seems like this might be an apology to older fans for brushing Deathstroke aside in favor of goofiness and insanity. But just what is Deathstroke planning? And will it affect the plot of the film? We’ll just have to wait until July 27th to find out.

It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

Directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, the film features the voice talents of Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven, Hyden Walch as Starfire, Will Arnett as Slade Wilson and Kristen Bell in an undisclosed role.

Teen Titans GO! To The Movies will be released in theaters on July 27, 2018
