‘NOS4A2′: New Images Reveal AMC’s Creepy Horror Adaptation!! Check It Out!!

AMC has released a new batch of images from the upcoming NOS4A2—that’s pronounced Nosferatu—the horror series from creator Jami O’Brien (Fear the Walking Dead) based on the book by Joe Hill. The show stars Zachary Quinto as an immortal ghoul named Charlie Manx who feeds on the souls of children and traps their minds in a horrific dead zone called Christmasland where it’s always the holidays and no one can ever escape. It’s a comedy! (It’s not a comedy.)

Really hyped for this one, folks. Hill’s book is a straight chiller of the highest, spookiest order, and the cast that O’Brien and AMC have assembled is a winner. Not only has Quinto proved he can do seductive monster with the best of them thanks to American Horror Story, but Ashleigh Cummings—who co-stars as Vic McQueen, a girl with a secret who might just be the key to stopping Manx—is on the verge of breaking out between this and the upcoming adaptation of The Goldfinch. Plus, Ebon Moss-Bachrach is on hand as Vic’s father, and that dude was the heart and soul of the insanely violent The Punisher season 1. As much as AMC is desperately trying to make it so, The Walking Dead can’t last forever, and NOS4A2 might just step in to keep that horror adaptation ship a’floatin’.

Check out the new images below, right after the series’ official synopsis.

The supernatural horror series NOS4A2, based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name, tells the story of Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Manx finds his whole world threatened when a young woman in New England discovers she has a dangerous gift.
