‘Skull and Bones’: Ubisoft Developing TV Series Adaption!!

It looks like Ubisoft is confident that it has a hit on its hands with its upcoming pirate adventure game Skull & Bones, so much so that the publisher’s film and TV department is teaming with Atlas Entertainment (Dirty John, 12 Monkeys) to develop a television series based upon the new IP.

According to THR, the Skull & Bones series is being billed as “a female-driven drama set in the lawless frontier of the Indian Ocean at the end of the golden age of piracy in the 1700s.”

Ubisoft is known for creating innovative video games that combine immense worlds with rich narratives,” states Ubisoft’s Danielle Kreinik, who will serve as executive producer on the series with Ubisoft’s head of film and television Jason Altman.

The Skull & Bones video game is a third person open world action game which will see players taking on the role of a pirate captain. It was originally slated for release in 2018, but has been delayed and is now expected to arrive later this year.
