The problem with getting excited about stories like James Gunn being reinstated as the director on Guardians of the Galaxy 3 or Angelina Jolie lending her otherworldly aura to Eternals is that technically, those movies haven’t been confirmed yet. Outside of Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s July 5 premiere date and trailer, the always spoiler-averse MCU has been mighty tight-lipped about its specific plans for after Avengers: Endgame. But in a new interview with IGN, Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed there is a plan, a “flesh-out” five-year plan, actually, but don’t expect any announcements until after Far From Home hits theaters.

And I mean any announcements. Feige noted that confirming Marvel’s mere presence at San Diego Comic-Con, which runs from July 18-21, would count as an Endgame spoiler. “I don’t wanna be annoying, but I think it … In a certain way, that is also sort of a post-Endgame spoiler,” Feige said.

Feige did eventually concede that the studio is “gonna keep making movies”—which, you know, duh—but you shouldn’t count on anything involving the recently-acquired X-Men or Fantastic Four quite yet. Disney basically had to start from scratch with those franchises after the merger with 20th Century Fox, Feige said, and any hypothetical reboots are “probably” a few years away.

“Probably. Probably, only because, as you’ve heard me say before, until it was all done, we literally couldn’t do anything,” Feige said. “So essentially, it’s sort of Day One. But during that time, we have built and fleshed out our five-year plan of where we’re heading, the first few years of which we’ll be announcing, as I said, relatively soon, after these next two movies.”
