‘Tetris: The Movie’: Taron Egerton led Creation Story Lands at Apple!!

The distribution for the Taron Egerton led Tetris movie has fallen into place.

Apple has picked up the rights to the feature from Stan & Ollie director Jon S. Baird, which will be produced by Matthew Vaughn’s Marv.

Written by Noah Pink, Tetris: The Movie will tell the story of the creation of Tetris via computer programmer Alexey Pajitnov, during the fall of the Iron curtain in the USSR. Egerton will play Dutch-born video game entrepreneur Henk Rogers who secured the global rights to distribute Tetris on video game consoles.

Vaughn will produce alongside Len Blavatnik, along with Gregor Cameron and Gillian Berrie for the Unigram, a sister company of the Blavatnik-owned AI Film. The movie is set to shoot in Scottland.
