‘Hawkeye’: New Set Photo Gives Closer Look at Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop Costume!! Check It Out!!

Hailee Steinfeld gives fans a closer look at her Kate Bishop costume in a new Hawkeye set photo. Marvel has quite the 2021 slate planned over on Disney+, with WandaVision currently airing and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier set to premiere right after. There’s a lot scheduled between now and the end of the year, which is when Hawkeye‘s debut is currently penciled in. Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, Hawkeye will give the bow-and-arrow-wielding Avenger his own showcase in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, which saw him take a hard left turn following the deaths of his family.

Don’t worry, though: Hawkeye will see the return of the Barton clan even as it introduces several new characters. Perhaps the one person fans are most excited to see (save for Lucky the Pizza Dog, of course) is Steinfeld‘s Kate Bishop, the Young Avengers member from the comics who takes on the mantle of Hawkeye for a stretch of time when Clint is dead. Steinfeld was fans’ top pick for the role when it was first announced Kate would be a part of Hawkeye, though her casting wasn’t officially announced until late last year.

With Hawkeye currently in production, fans have been treated to several behind the scenes pics of the series. The latest comes from Steinfeld herself, and it looks like she’s right in the middle of filming. Steinfeld posted a selfie of herself hiding in what looks to be the backseat of a car. She’s wearing her purple Kate Bishop costume, and her quiver isn’t far away. Additionally, the scratch on her face confirms she’s either in the midst of an action scene or just got out of one. Scroll on to see Steinfeld‘s post.

Since Hawkeye is still several months away and filming is ongoing, it’s likely an official look from Marvel won’t arrive anytime soon. That’s why it’s so exciting to get some set photos from Steinfeld and the rest of the cast. Fans have been largely enthusiastic about the early Hawkeye images, particularly when it comes to Kate. There’s a great deal of anticipation surrounding Steinfeld‘s MCU debut, and any peek that can emerge is welcome.

Little is known about Hawkeye‘s plot so far, save that it will delve into Clint’s backstory somehow. He’ll be in an interesting place when the series begins, since he spent the five years beforehand as a violent vigilante. The return of the Barton family should help temper him, but it’s unlikely that time of his life will go without mention. As to how Kate factors into all this, fans will just have to tune into Disney+ later this year when Hawkeye debuts to find out.

Hawkeye premieres on Disney+ in late 2021.
