‘Predator’: Amber Midthunder to Lead Dan Trachtenberg’s New Take!!

Announced late last year, 20th Century Studios has ordered up a new installment in the Predator film franchise, with Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) directing the new take.

The film’s working title is Skulls, and the following plot synopsis was recently provided: “A Comanche woman goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior.”

Filming is set to take place this summer, and this week Slash Film has confirmed a report from Discussing Film that Amber Midthunder (“Legion”) has signed on to star in the movie.

We still don’t know much at all about the movie, but we gather that Trachtenberg had been hoping to keep the Predator connection a secret. So it’s possible the film initially has loose ties to the franchise before the reveal that Predators are indeed involved in the storyline, and we don’t expect it’ll be directly tied into Shane Black’s The Predator in any way, shape or form.

Patrick Aison (“Jack Ryan”) wrote the script. More as we learn it…
