It’s been 10 years since Salman Khan arrived as Tiger on the big screen with Yash Raj Films‘ Ek Tha Tiger. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film had Katrina Kaif in the lead role. While Kabir didn’t return to direct the second part Tiger Zinda Hai, it was helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. With the hype around the third installment rises, the makers are celebrating 10 years of the franchise today. The film released on Independence Day back in 2012.
On 75th Independence Day, Yash Raj Films shared a montage of several clips from the Tiger franchise. The tweet read, “10 Years ago, he roared his way into your hearts. And now he’s set to be back again, all guns blazing in #Tiger3 on Eid 2023. Celebrating #10YearsOfEkThaTiger. Celebrate #Tiger3 with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 21st April 2023. Produced by Aditya Chopra, Tiger 3 brings Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif back as Tiger and Zoya. It is being helmed by Maneesh Sharma and will release in theatres on April 21, 2023.
