‘Bait’ Trailer Sees Riz Ahmed Fake Being the Next James Bond!! Check It Out!!

Riz Ahmed is trying to play James Bond in the hilarious trailer for Bait, a new Prime Video comedy TV show.

“Bait stars Ahmed as Shah Latif, a struggling actor whose last chance to hit it big comes in the form of an audition of a lifetime,” the Prime Video synopsis reads. “The series follows him over the course of four wild days as his life spirals out of control and his family, ex-lover, and the entire world weigh in on whether he is the right man for the job.”

What happens in the Bait trailer?

One of the characters asks Shah, “Are you going to be the next James Bond?” According to Shah, it’s only an audition, but it could be his last shot at glory. Shah’s newfound recognition brings chaos into his personal and professional life, with everyone chiming in on whether he’s good enough to play 007.

“I want to show people that this is what a hero can look like,” Shah says in the trailer.

Bait also stars Guz Khan as Zulfi, Sheeba Chaddha as Tahira, Sajid Hasan as Parvez, Aasiya Shah as Q, Weruche Opia as Felicia, and Ritu Arya as Yasmin.

Ahmed is also the creator and writer of Bait. Executive producers include Ahmed, Allie Moore, and Jake Fuller. Executive producer Ben Karlin is a co-showrunner alongside Ahmed. Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios produced Bait.

Ahmed is an Academy Award and Emmy winner, best known for his roles in The Night Of and Sound of Metal. Ahmed is the star of Hamlet, a contemporary take on Shakespeare’s play, in theaters on April 10, 2026. Later this year, Ahmed will appear alongside Tom Cruise in Digger, in theaters on October 2, 2026.

All six episodes of Bait will premiere on Prime Video on March 25, 2026.
