Oh what a year this has been for Hindi cinema! A complete U-Turn from last year which saw #BoycottBollywood in full swing. And though the first big release of the year, Pathaan, saw immediate backlash from conservative right-wing forces and bigots over the color of a bikini, the film ended up being all time blockbuster story which saw Shah Rukh Khan once again rise to the top of the table following a 4 year hiatus. And while Pathaan set never seen before records by the end of its run, a few months down the line, his next release, Jawan, doubled down on everything, marking Shah Rukh Khan‘s second 1000 Cr earner by the end. Along with the two, Gadar 2 and Animal too managed to cross the never-seen-before 500 crore club. Between these massive hits well written films like 12th Fail, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, OMG 2 and Satyaprem Ki Katha also thankfully found traction. Nevertheless, it cannot denied that in the midst of this recovery, it has become much more important than ever that Bollywood simply stop making bad movies. In my opinion, here are some of the worst films churned out by the Hindi film industry this year:
