New ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Posters Show “Team Cap” Ready to Face Off!!

Marvel has released six Captain America: Civil War posters today. Today, we’ve got Team Cap: Captain America (Chris Evans), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Obviously, these posters won’t tell you why these teams are divided up the way that they are. You have to see the movie to find out what would put Black Widow on the opposite side of Cap.

You also have to wait to get a better look at their costumes. We’ve seen from the trailers that the characters have slightly updated duds, but these posters are all about the faces. I’m sure they’ll look better when you can place them against the Team Iron Man character posters that are presumably waiting in the wings.

Here’s the plot synopsis for Captain America: Civil War:

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability

Captain America: Civil War opens May 6th, and also stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, Martin Freeman, Daniel Brühl, and Paul Bettany.
