‘Jack Reacher: Never Go Back’: Tom Cruise Goes on a Rampage in 3 New TV Spots!!! Check It Out!!

Paramount has released three new Jack Reacher: Never Go Back TV spots. The follow-up finds Tom Cruise’s titular character returning to his roots, uncovering duplicitous officials and people of power, until he discovers that the women chosen to take over his role as head of the MP (Cobie Smulders), has been arrested for espionage. Jack Reacher being Jack Reacher, he smells something fishy and the two subsequently find themselves on the run from the law, corrupt military officials, and assassins.

These TV spots promise what we’ve come to expect from a Jack Reacher movie: Tom Cruise beating up lots and lots of people. What signals a nice change of pace between this sequel and the original is that it looks like Smulders’ character is getting in on the action as well, and it will be nice to see the two of them team up to take down bad guys. The original set a high bar, but I’m hoping that director Ed Zwick can create a worthy follow-up that continues to play up the hard-boiled action.

Check out the new Jack Reacher: Never Go Back TV spots below. The film opens October 21st and also stars Aldis Hodge, Holt McCallany, and Robert Knepper.

Here’s the official synopsis for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back:

Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) returns with his particular brand of justice in the highly anticipated sequel JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK. When Army Major Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders), who heads Reacher’s old investigative unit, is arrested for Treason, Reacher will stop at nothing to prove her innocence and to uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy involving soldiers who are being killed. Based upon JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, author Lee Child’s 18th novel in the best-selling Jack Reacher series, that has seen 100 million books sold worldwide.
