‘John Wick 2’ Poster Measures Keanu Reeves for His New York Comic-Con Panel Appearance!! Check It Out!!

No one would’ve guessed that Keanu Reeves’ action-movie return in John Wick would have been a hit, but it was. Now with a sequel gearing up for theaters beginning February 10, 2017, Lionsgate is bringing John Wick: Chapter 2 to New York Comic-Con so Reeves his cast mates can meet their adoring public.

According to a press release, the Lionsgate panel will be held at The Theater in Madison Square Garden on Saturday, October 8th beginning at 2:00 p.m. EST. However, the hourlong runtime will be split between the Power Rangers movie reboot and John Wick 2. For the latter, the studio promises to show “exclusive, never-before-seen footage” from the sequel, as well as a Q&A with the cast.

Directed by Chad Stahelski with a screenplay by Derek Kolstad, John Wick 2 features Reeves as the titular hitman, Ruby Rose, Thomas Sadoski, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Peter Stormare, Laurence Fishburne, and Common. However, it’s unconfirmed which combination of these stars and others might attend NYCC.

It’s also unclear whether the first footage will be held for this panel or if Lionsgate will choose to release a trailer to help pep up the crowd. The marketing campaign begins today with the release of the first teaser poster flaunting Wick’s sartorially suave fight suit, so it’s really any one’s guess.
