The stories of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will converge in The Defenders, an 8-episode Avengers-style miniseries event on Netflix. So, we expected a bunch of familiar faces to be popping up, but now they’ve been officially announced.

As of earlier this week, the only names formally recognized for The Defenders were Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Finn Jones (Danny Rand), and Sigourney Weaver (the unnamed villain). Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Simone Missick (Misty Knight) were confirmed shortly after, which meant more sidekicks and supporting characters were probably on the way.

Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) both revealed on their own accords their characters’ return for The Defenders, but the show’s official social media accounts confirmed them, as well as Rachel Taylor (Trish Walker) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth) from Jessica Jones, Scott Glenn (Sticks) from Daredevil, and a character with ties to all four solo series, Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).

Let’s just hope Marvel and Netflix don’t kill off Claire in order to further the plot.

We’ll be introduced to a new set of characters in Iron Fist, including the Meachum family and martial arts badass Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), so we should expect more returning figures from the story of Danny Rand. Although, Moss also hails from Iron Fist world: she’ll return as Hogarth in the series, premiering March 17, 2017.

We still no next to nothing about the plot, but set photos have shown Misty pulling a gun on Jessica. It’s also significant that the folks behind Daredevil will act as show runners on The Defenders. Might that mean The Hand and their plot with Elektra have something to do with the latest threat against Hell’s Kitchen?

The Defenders will premiere sometime in 2017.
