Vera Farmiga Joins ‘Godzilla 2’s Growing Cast!!

We’ve now got the whole family for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, as Vera Farmiga has signed up to join Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bates Motel star Vera will be playing the mother of Stranger Things’ Millie in the Godzilla sequel, with Bloodline‘s Kyle Chandler playing her father.

If you weren’t already excited about Godzilla 2, Krampus director Michael Dougherty is taking charge of the upcoming monster movie.

We’ve got high hopes for the sequel with Dougherty helming it – after all, he’s behind two of THE BEST scary films ever, Halloween anthology Trick ‘r Treat and festive horror Krampus.

Dougherty is also on board to co-script the sequel with his Krampus partner Zach Shields and Max Borenstein.

Although plot details for the next installment are scarce, we do know that everyone’s favorite radioactive lizard will come up against other giant beasts like Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is part of Legendary Pictures‘ shared universe known as the ‘MonsterVerse’, which includes the upcoming Kong: Skull Island.

Vera is currently starring in Bates Motel as Norman Bates’s mother Norma. She can next be seen in the fifth and final season alongside Rihanna, who’s joining the cast as the doomed Marion Crane.

Farmiga has also signed up to upcoming thriller The Commuter,with Liam Neeson playing the eponymous commuter – a businessman caught up in a criminal conspiracy unfolding on his train.

Godzilla 2 is scheduled for release on March 22, 2019. A Godzilla vs Kong movie is also being released on May 29, 2020.
