While “Deadpool” made big piles of money, and was declared the proof of concept that you could step well outside the superhero sandbox, take a risk, and have it pay off handsomely. Excited for the follow-up, but now it seems like Ryan Reynolds and co. has provided one more reason to watch the sequel.
The actor has revealed on Instagram that Julian Dennison, star of Taika Waititi‘s terrific “Hunt For The Wilderpeople,” has joined “Deadpool 2.” No word yet on who the actor will be playing, but he joins a cast that includes Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, and Leslie Uggams, who are all being directed by David Leitch (“John Wick“) who takes over from Tim Miller. Even more, the casting of Dennison has earned the seal of approval from Waititi himself.
“Deadpool 2” opens on June 1, 2018.
