The action-thriller ‘Race’ has been a successful series. The first installment ‘Race’ which released in the year 2008 and the second installment ‘Race 2’ that released in 2013, both were directed by the popular duo Abbas-Mustan. There was just a slight change in the star cast. And now it is said that Salman Khan has signed the dotted lines for ‘Race 3’, reports a leading daily. However, there’s no official confirmation to this.
There are even reports stating that the popular duo Abbas-Mustan will not be directing ‘Race 3’, the third installment. It is quite surprising to know that the filmmakers who directed the popular series will not be making the third part now. Remo D’souza who is known to make dance films has apparently been roped in to direct the action-thriller, ‘Race 3’. As per a report in DNA, producer Ramesh Taurani was after the 51-year-old superstar since four years and finally he has managed to bring him on-board.
It seems the focus is now on ‘Race 3’ for which Remo D’souza and Salman Khan’s other film ‘Dancing Dad’ has been put on hold. Now after ‘Tubelight’, Salman really needs some kickass action films like ‘Race 3’. Apart from this, Salman is also busy shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ in which his ex-flame Katrina Kaif is also part of it. This is a sequel to Kabir Khan’s movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which was a blockbuster film.
