In 2005, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham collaborated for the first time and gave us the rib-tickling film, Garam Masala. Where Akshay won the Filmfare award for his hilarious comic role, John, on the other hand, was equally praised as it was his first few attempts in the comedy genre. After GM, the two actors collaborated for few more super hit films but no film managed to recreate the magic of their first project. But to give their fans a yet another treat, Akshay and John and can be seen in the sequel of Garam Masala. Yes, that’s right! John, who has started promoting his upcoming film, Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran, told a leading tabloid that he is in constant talks with Akshay for the remake of their cult comedy film.
Talking about the Garam Masala sequel, he said, “I would love to do some fun films. Also, I love Akshay and enjoy working with him. In fact, I spoke to him the other day, and he said, ‘Let’s do something together’. We always have a burning desire to work together as we are very alike as human beings. As for Garam Masala 2, Akshay and I have been talking about it and I think that’d be great and a lot of fun. The storyline can be that 10 years later, there are more than three air hostesses (laughs). It will be fun but you have to make those fun films with people you have fun with. Even films such as Desi Boyz (2011) and Dishoom (2016) can be made into sequels as they have great potential.”
