Bollywood celebrities have always shown their love and concern for animals. While many celebs are avid animal lovers, a number of actors spoke about their safety and ill-treatment. But, B-Town diva Priyanka Chopra has taken it to some other level. She is planning to make a film for children based on stray dogs. For the project, she wanted a leading Bollywood beauty for just about five to six scenes. PeeCee also said that she approached several heroines but their demands shocked her. She added that none of the leading actresses was showing interest in doing the film for just limited scenes.
It is reported that PeeCee has also approached the bubbly Alia Bhatt for the role but Alia rubbished this news. She said, she has not approached for the role but she is ready to do the film if she finds it interesting. In an interview with a leading portal, Alia said, “I’ve not been offered the film. But if PC did come to me and I find it interesting, I’d love to be a part of that film. It totally depends on the right time and the right subject. I’d happily do it if everything falls into place.”
“I’m really inspired by the way she’s doing things. She has produced some amazing films and more so, in different languages. It’s about different corners of India and she’s got a great mind so, she recognizes that,” she added.
Though Priyanka is a global icon now, she still is rooted with the Indian films, especially with the regional cinema. In the past few years, our Desi Girl has produced Marathi, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Sikkimese and Assamese film and we hope she fulfills her project on stray dogs as well.
