Jason Todd Hunt Down Pennywise in Fan Film ‘Red Hood IT’!!! Check It Out!!

A short while ago, we brought you the first look at the fan film Red Hood IT courtesy of the mash-up’s trailer. Written, directed and shot by Hisonni Johnson and Alberto Triana, this unexpected combination of two insanely popular properties puts a brand-new spin on both DC Comics’ Batman stories and Stephen King‘s recently resurgent IT. As you might have glimpsed in the trailer, or as you’re about to see in the finished film, Red Hood IT exists in a world in which all of Gotham’s maniac clown problems can be traced to one supernatural force, a force that Jason Todd, a.k.a. Red Hood, is in the process of tracking down.

Here’s the thing I love about fan films: They have the creative freedom to tackle outside-the-box ideas like this without being beholden to any franchise overseers. That means that we can expect to see–and enjoy–all sorts of crazy mash-ups and original ideas from filmmakers like Johnson and Triana in the future. The downside is that fan films survive only on support from fans themselves, so if you dig their approach to Red Hood IT and want to see more, be sure to let them know and spread the word!

Check out Red Hood IT below and be sure to leave your thoughts in the fan film’s YouTube comments:
