Considering the number of films released each year, its an unfortunate fact how impossible it is for the good films to outnumber the bad ones. However, this year amidst a bunch of stinkers, quite a number of films managed to stand out irrespective of their star quotient and marketing strategy, but solely based on their concept and story-line. Yes, finally the Indian audience decided to prefer content over their superstars and completely rejected films with any form of poor content. While expected blockbusters failed to set the cash registered ringing, the younger generation led by Ayushmann Khurrana along with Bollywood ace Akshay Kumar managed to bring in the audience and earn critical acclaim as well.
Here are according to me the best Bollywood films of the year:
- Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran
- Badhaai Ho
