Top 10 Best Hollywood Films of 2018 – A MovizArk Take!!!

We’re right into the final days of 2018, so what better time to round up the best movies of the year so far. From massive superhero outings to Oscar contenders, there’s been something for everyone this year. For fans of action films, you might hear that films like Black Panther or Avengers: Infinity War or Mission Impossible: Fallout charted new paths for the genre. Horror aficionados would point to Hereditary and A Quiet Place carrying the flag for prestige horror. Incredibles 2, the much awaited animated superhero sequel from Pixar finally came and got quickly dethroned as soon as Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse released. While some may hate me for not placing Black Panther on the list (maybe number 11?), I think Avengers: Infinity War itself set a standard for epic superhero films. A real film buff would tell everyone that Roma was the only film you’d need to see, but I guess nothing moved and thoroughly entertained me like director Peter Farrelly‘s Green Book did. And it’s still such a shame how a film like Annihilation went unnoticed. However, while most lists from critics and viewers included critically acclaimed films like The Hate U Give, Mid90s, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Favourite, Suspiria, If Beale Street Could Talk, First Reformed, The Rider among others, due to their indecisive release date (in the U.A.E) and my inconvenience, I have not included them here. Having said that, here, I have placed the films I have seen into proper perspective. Let’s take a look at the best movies of 2018:

  1. Green Book
  2. Annihilation
  3. Roma
  4. Avengers: Infinity War
  5. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
  6. Hereditary
  7. Mission: Impossible – Fallout
  8. Isle of Dogs
  9. Eighth Grade
  10. A Quiet Place
