‘The Devil All the Time’: Chris Evans, Tom Holland Lead A-List Cast for Netflix Film!!!

Netflix announced an all-star cast today for its upcoming film The Devil All the Time. Directed by Antonio Campos (The Sinner, Christine), and written by Antonio and Paulo Campos, the movie is described as “a midwestern gothic involving a serial killer couple, a faith-testing preacher, and a corrupt local sheriff in a story told across two decades.”

Produced by Randall Poster, NinestoriesJake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker, and Max Born, the film will star Chris Evans, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgard, Mia Wasikowska, and Eliza Scanlen. You can start guessing now as to which star is playing which dark character.

Netflix did not send out a traditional press release for the announcement, preferring instead a tweet that did not provide any other information, so there’s no sense yet of when the film may start shooting, or where. But as far as the subject, it sounds a little bit like True Detective (the initial tweet did not clarify if the project was a series or a film, but a follow-up gave additional information). Speaking of the TV world, though, Campos was an EP and director on The Sinner, the underrated USA series that has run for two seasons. In each, a crime is investigated not as a whodunnit, but asking the question of “why”? (Which is currently streaming on Netflix).

Netflix is certainly spending some serious cash on its original features, both in the movie and TV realm, collecting blockbuster talent and presumably paying a ton of money for it. With the recent news of its Space Force series starring Steve Carell comes the additional info that Carell will be making over $1 million an episode. It’s no surprise then that the streaming giant is raising prices again for its subscription service.
