‘Titans’ Season 2: ‘Game of Thrones’ Iain Glen Cast as Bruce Wayne!!!

When Titans Season 2 rolls around, Bruce Wayne will be a genuine presence onscreen. Per Deadline, Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen has been cast as Bruce Wayne in the DC Universe streaming series, which offers a gritty take on the young heroes that make up the Teen Titans team. Glen plays Jorah Mormont on HBO’s Game of Thrones—you know, the grizzled warrior who’s in love with the dragon lady but also has skin like a reptile.

It’s unclear how significant a role Wayne will play in Titans Season 2, but here’s how the show’s producers describe the character:

“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”

Glen’s role is categorized as “recurring” so he’ll likely be a major supporting player on the series, although maybe don’t expect him in every episode. Brenton Thwaites portrays Dick Grayson aka Robin, and the show’s first season teased the Batman/Robin relationship with Thwaites spouting the infamous line, “Fuck Batman.” Way harsh, bro.

While the DC Universe’s streaming series haven’t quite caught on the way Marvel’s Netflix shows did, they have grown a significant enough following. Titans Season 2 is due to arrive this fall, while we also have the James Wan-produced Swamp Thing series on tap for 2019.
