Here he comes to save the day!
Deadline is reporting that Paramount Pictures has enlisted screenwriters Jon and Erich Hoeber (The Meg) to develop a script for a live-action/animated hybrid feature film based upon the classic cartoon character Mighty Mouse.
Created by 20th Century Fox’s Terrytoons back in 1942 as a parody of Superman, Mighty Mouse appeared in a host of animated shorts over the next two decades before being revived by Filmation in the 1970s, as well as the 1980s series Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures from Ralph Bakshi.
Paramount first attempted to get a Mighty Mouse movie off the ground back in 2004, teaming with Omation Animation Studios and Nickelodeon Movies for a CGI feature, although this ultimately failed to materialize.
