‘Game of Thrones’: New Images Reveal After “The Long Night”!! Check It Out!!

“The Long Night” came and went to Winterfell last weekend, and minus a Jorah Mormont or two, our main heroes mostly made it out alive. But still, Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) entire Dothraki army got snuffed out along with a good portion of the Unsullied, not to mention pretty much anyone else inside Winterfell whose name isn’t prominent on the IMDB page. Seven new images from next week’s Game of Thrones give a glimpse of what life is like in the North after the biggest, bloodiest battle in Westeros history. Spoilers: It’s really depressing!

It definitely looks like there’s a massive funeral on the schedule, but it’ll be interesting to see if burning those who fell is a practical matter—gods, the smell—or if the threat of the dead rising as Wights remains even after The Night King got got last week. Daenerys is out here smirking next to Drogon like she didn’t spend 90% of the battle frantically flying through an ice cloud and weeping. There’s also a look at Dany, Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), and Varys (Conleth Hill) back at a new scheduling meeting, hopefully hammering out a plan that doesn’t involve riding straight into the darkness wildly with no plan whatsoever besides screaming.

This leads to the most intriguing photo, which shows Dany’s fleet already sailing to, presumedly, King’s Landing. Unless that’s the final shot of the episode—which is honestly likely—the show isn’t wasting a ton of time kicking off the “last war” between whoever is left standing up North and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and her H&M pirate lover, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk). In fairness, there is only three episodes of Game of Thrones left, ever.

Check out the images below. Game of Thrones‘ next episode airs Sunday, May 5.
