Alia Bhatt, after the debacle of Kalank, is moving ahead with her next project. The actress is all set to collaborate with her father Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja Bhatt in Sadak 2. In September 2018, Mahesh Bhatt confirmed his comeback as a director with the sequel of Sadak. Not only are the Bhatt sisters coming together for the first time on the big screen, the film will also see Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur as well. And finally, the film has gone on floor.

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram to share the news that shooting of Sadak 2 has begun. Though she is yet to begin the shooting, the film went on floor today. Sharing a photo of the clapboard, the actress captioned it, “Today is Day 1 of Sadak 2. And that’s my father, now also my director, holding the clap. I begin shoot in a few days and honestly, I’m petrified. I feel like a tiny mouse trying to climb a beautiful, immense, emotional mountain. I hope I make it to the top and if I fall I hope I’m able to get up again. It’s a tough climb but from everything I’ve seen and everything I’ve heard, I know every single step and misstep will be worth it! Here’s to movies, family, dreams and starting out on a brand NEW journey! And what a journey it’s going to be!!!!”

The film will have a recreation of the iconic romantic song ‘Tumhe Apna Banane’. The original song was pictured on Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in Sadak. A Mukesh Bhatt Presentation of a Mahesh Bhatt Film, Sadak 2 is a Vishesh Films Production and is slated to release on 25th March 2020.
