Shudder’s ‘Creepshow’ Sets Premiere Date On AMC!!

The Greg Nicotero-produced “Creepshow” television series was a Shudder exclusive last year, and we recently learned that the debut season is now headed to AMC this year.

Announced today, “Creepshow” will premiere on AMC on May 4th, 2020.

There are six episodes in total in the first season of the series, and two episodes will be airing back-to-back on Monday nights at 9pm EST, on May 4th, May 11th and May 18th.

Each episode includes two different segments. Here’s the full AMC schedule:

Monday, May 4 at 9:00pm ET/8c

Episode 1, featuring the stories:

 “Gray Matter”
Story by: Stephen King, adapted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi
Directed by: Greg Nicotero
Doc and Chief, two old-timers in a small, dying town, brave a storm to check on Richie, an alcoholic single father, after encountering his terrified son at the local convenience store. The story, first published in 1973, is part of King’s best-selling 1978 collection, Night Shift.

 “The House of the Head”
Written by: Josh Malerman (Bird Box)
Directed by: John Harrison
A severed toy head appears in a girl’s dollhouse and starts murdering.

 “Bad Wolf Down”

A group of American soldiers, trapped behind enemy lines during World War II, finds an unconventional way to even the odds.

A college student brings the wrong bag home from the airport only to find a pretzeled man trapped inside, afflicted by a strange condition that turns his pain into gold.

A second season of “Creepshow” is also on the way, ordered up last year. The first season was a massive hit for Shudder, breaking viewing records for the streaming service.
