‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ : Zach Braff Joins Gabrielle Union in the Disney+ Remake!!

Zach Braff has closed a deal to star with Gabrielle Union in Cheaper by the Dozen, the re-imagining of the hit 2003 comedy being developed for Disney+.

Black-ish creator Kenya Barris co-wrote the script and is producing  the  project which will be directed by Gail Lerner. Lerner worked with Barris on Black-ish as a writer-executive producer and director.

The story centers on a multiracial, blended family of 12, navigating a hectic home life while managing their family business.

Braff will play the father opposite Union as the mother.

Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt starred in the 2003 movie directed by Shawn Levy and the sequel helmed by Adam Shankman. The movies were loose retellings of a pair of early 1950s hit comedies that was based on the books of pair of siblings who wrote about their upbringing in large family.

A debut sometime in 2022 is being planned for the new Dozen.

Braff is best known for starring  in NBC’s long-running  comedy, Scrubs. More recently he appeared in indie features Percy and The Comeback Trail, the latter a crime comedy with Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Tommy Lee Jones.

He is repped by CAA and Management 360.
