Serbia’s official Academy Awards selection for Best International Feature, DARA OF JASENOVAC.

Directed and produced by Predrag Peter Antonijevic, DARA OF JASENOVAC is the first-ever feature film about the Holocaust-era concentration camp complex known as Jasenovac and personalizes a part of history that has been mainly concealed from the public. At Jasenovac, the Ustase brutally murdered Jew, Serb, and Roma people, including many women and children. To this day, there is still controversy surrounding on how many lives were actually taken at Jasenovac. The film is told through the eyes of a young Jasenovac prisoner named Dara, who must summon tremendous courage to protect herself and her infant brother from a terrible fate.

DARA OF JASENOVAC opened in select theaters this Friday, February 5, 2021.
