Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch is a bit of a divisive film amongst fans. While some love it, others didn’t like the film upon its release. According to Snyder himself, however, a director’s cut of the film does exist.
During a recent interview with Vanity Fair where he broke down his career, Snyder touched on Sucker Punch, noting that working on the film was the first time he really faced having someone try to restructure the film to make it work in a more commercial way.
“[Sucker Punch] was the first time where I really faced, like, a true radical restructuring of the film for it to be more commercial,” Snyder told Vanity Fair. “And there is a director’s cut of that movie that has yet to be released. I’ll say that out loud.”
While Snyder’s comments on the film might not change the opinion some have, it is interesting that another version of the film exists. With the recent success of Snyder’s Justice League cut, perhaps one day fans will fight for his version of Sucker Punch to be released somewhere.
