
According to Deadline, Freya Mavor has officially been cast to join James Norton and Gemma Arterton in an upcoming biopic thriller titled Freegard, based on the downfall of a real-life British conman. Mavor is best known for her role as Mini McGuinness in the hit teen drama series Skins and was also recently seen in HBO’s workplace drama Industry. Production is currently underway in London.
Joining Norton and Arterton in Freegard are Shazad Latif (Star Trek Discovery), Marisa Abela (Industry), Edwina Findley (The Wire), Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh), Sarah Goldberg (Barry), Jimmy Akingbola (In The Long Run), Rob Malone (Vikings), Philip Wright (Line Of Duty), Micheal Fenton Stevens (Benidorm) and Charlotte Avery (Doctors).
Freegard is being co-directed by Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn from a screenplay they co-wrote with Bronner. It is produced by Rabbit Track Pictures, and The Development Partnership, with Night Train Media financing the project.
