A series of character posters show off the leading players of Avatar: The Way of Water, and provide another look at the sheer level of detail that has gone into bringing the Na’vi back to life after all these years. Released courtesy of the official Avatar Twitter account, the posters have been unveiled alongside the final trailer for the long-awaited sequel, which promises a powerful, blockbuster epic. You can check out the new Avatar: The Way of Water character posters below.
The set of posters provides another look at Sam Worthington as Jake Sully and Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri, as well as their new brood. Avatar: The Way of Water will introduce audiences to Jake and Neytiri’s new family, which will include several native Na’vi children, Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), Lo’ak (Britain Dalton), and Tuktirey (Trinity Bliss), as well as the human child Miles Socorro, also known as Spider. Played by The Night Sitter star Jack Champion, Spider is adopted by Jake and Neytiri after being born at the now-abandoned military base on Pandora. Too young to be returned to Earth, Jake decides to take the child in as one of their own.
One of the posters puts Stephen Lang’s resurrected Colonel Miles Quaritch front and center. Now a Na’vi Avatar embedded with the memories of Quaritch, Lang has teased some changes for the no-nonsense military man. “He’s bigger, he’s bluer, he’s pissed off,” Lang said earlier this year. “There may possibly be an aspect of humility. When you take two Na’vi arrows in the chest, that’s gonna have some kind of effect on you.” As well as this set of character posters, new promos for the IMAX and Dolby releases of Avatar: The Way of Water.
