Back in August 2022, actor Kunal Kemmu announced his directorial debut project, titled Madgaon Express. Since then, a section of his fans has been keeping a keen eye on all the details of the upcoming flick. Well, Kunal himself has dropped a significant update for fans and announced the wrap for Madgaon Express.
For the unversed, on Thursday, February 16, Kunal took to his verified social media handle and shared a multiple-picture post featuring the cast and the crew of the film. Along with the lead cast, Divyendu Sharma, Pratik Gandhi, Nora Fatehi, producer Farhan Akhtar and director Kunal posed together. Meanwhile, another snap featured the clap-board reading the title of the film. Besides these, Kunal was also seen posing with the crew in one of the photos.
Instagramming the post, the 39-year-old actor-turned-director wrote, “It’s a Film wrap! #madgaonexpress. It’s been such an incredible journey and I couldn’t have done it without,” and tagged the producers including Ritesh Sidhwani and Excel Movies, among others, and added, “who not only believed in my script but also in my vision of it and encouraged me to direct it.” Kemmu also gave a shout-out to “The incredible cast” of the film and continued, “Each one of them made the characters come alive on screen in the most accomplished way.” He signed off by saying, “And most importantly my amazing crew who right from day 1 have been by my side and helped me achieve all the aspects of my vision for this film @adilafsarz / I can’t wait to share this one with all of you sooon!!!”
Many of Kunal’s friends and peers from the industry reacted to the post, including Rajkummar Rao, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sayani Gupta, and others.
Speaking of the film, the makers are yet to announce Madgaon Express’ release date.
