‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Exits 2024 Release Date!!

Sony has made major changes to its release calendar as WGA and SAG continue to strike. The third installment of the animated Spider-Verse movie, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has lost its March 29, 2024 release date, with no anticipated release window.

Right after Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out fans were speculating a delay given the miraculous animation work that goes into a feat like this. However, the movie has a different reason for the delay. As per the report in Variety, the voice cast of the feature cannot complete the dialogue recording in time for the previously scheduled spring opening due to the ongoing strikes.

The Spider-Verse Success Story

The first feature in the trilogy Spider-Verse: Across the Spider-Verse, introduced us to the world of Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) and followed him as he comes to terms with his powers with help from his Spider-Friends. The movie took fans and awards season by storm and bagged an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

Its follow-up Into the Spider-Verse which debuted this year is still raging high at the box office and doubled down on the multiverse aspect as well as the art and animation. While most sequels are unable to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the latest installment rather up the ante by dealing with the question “what it takes to wear the mask” as Miles navigates being a teenager, a son, and a hero in this vast multiverse.

Along with Moore as Miles, the movie also features voices from Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, Karan Soni as Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India, and Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk with Jason Schwartzman as antagonist The Spot.

Currently, no window date has been announced for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
