‘Fall 2’ and ‘Fall 3’ in the Works!!

One of the best surprises of last year was director Scott Mann’s survival thriller Fall. The film starring Caroline Grace Curry (Shazam!) and Virginia Gardner (Halloween) took the box office by storm. Earlier this year it was revealed that a sequel was in development, but now it has been confirmed that Fall will officially become a trilogy. Two sequels are on the way.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Mann will produce the two sequels as well as for Capstone Studios. On top of that, he’ll co-write and direct the third film. The film will have returning characters as well as new ones to inevitably be trapped in a dire situation. There’s no official word on who would return, but it’s a safe bet that Currey would reprise her role as Becky given that survived the killer heights of the first film. In the film Becky and her daredevil friend Shiloh (Gardner) climbed to the top of a 2000 foot tower in the middle of nowhere. When they became stranded their survival instincts kicked in, but the height and brutal elements ensured that both friends weren’t going to make it out alive.

‘Fall’ Stuck the Landing

What made Fall such a stand out film was its direction and its brilliant performances. Mann made it feel as if you were stuck with the characters fending for your life on that tower. If you’re scared of heights, that only added to this fear-inducing nightmare, but even if you don’t mind the view, the sense of vertigo felt throughout was torturous in the best way possible. The constant twists and turns also added to the brilliant sense of dread. Then there’s Currey and Gardner’s performances that will have you stopping for air every minute. Their character’s friendship was put through the ringer to say the least and the constant twists and turns Fall through at the audience to keep them off balance was The definition of altitude sickness. Currey in particular showed off why she’s one of the most underrated talents in Hollywood. Because of that it’s going to be exciting to see where they take her character if they do indeed bring her back for the new films.

There’s no release date for the film yet, but Fall 2 is set to start shooting in June 2024. When talking about his excitement for the films, Mann said,“I am thrilled to be continuing the Fall journey and taking it to the next level. We’ve got a really special cinematic experience planned and I’m immensely grateful to my fellow producers for backing the vision. I’m also excited to be working with new collaborators as well as reuniting with the original gang, and obviously can’t wait to be back filming thousands of feet up.”

Fall is now streaming on Starz.
