‘Wonka’ is Full of Music and Mysterious Characters

The movie has musical numbers, but King previously assured that it’s not an outright musical. The movie billed as an “origin story that explores the vivid, mythical beginnings of the imaginative young inventor.” As the previous trailers show Wonka will have to get through the conspiring town officials to set up his chocolate factory.
