‘A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey’: Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell to Star in ‘After Yang’ Director’s Next!!

Margot Robbie has found her next big screen role, with Deadline reporting that she will appear in A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey alongside Colin Farrell. Kogonda will direct the movie, which will follow an imaginative tale where two strangers will be connected due to the journey they’ll share. The screenplay for the upcoming adventure will be written by Seth Riss, who previously worked on The Menu alongside Will Tracy, and the project will begin filming this spring. Two Academy Award-nominated performers will work together in A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey, while plot details for the movie remain under wraps.

A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey will serve as a reunion for Farrell and Kogonda, who previously worked together in After Yang. The drama was also written by Kogonda, and it followed a family attempting to fix their android son after he had stopped responding. The cast of that movie also included Jodie Turner-Smith, Justin H. Min and Ritchie Coster, as Farrell‘s character did everything in his power to make his son wake up. A couple of years later, Kogonda will work with Farrell once again in A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey, alongside the star of last year’s biggest hit.

After starring in and serving as a producer on Barbie, Margot Robbie took some time to decide what her next project as an actress would be. The I, Tonya star portrayed the world’s most iconic doll in Greta Gerwig‘s latest film, where the protagonist wanted to find her place in the world after a series of existential thoughts flooded her head. By earning over $1 billion at the global box office, Barbie quickly became the highest grossing release of last year, beating out titles such as The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Oppenheimer. Robbie is ready to step in front of the camera once more in A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey.

What’s Next for Colin Farrell?

Before he can star alongside Margot Robbie in A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey, Colin Farrell will be seen as the lead of The Penguin, a Max streaming series set in the same world as The Batman. Farrell first stepped into the shoes of Oswald Cobblepot in Matt Reeves‘ introduction of his version of Gotham City. The show will follow the events of the movie, with Cobblepot dealing with the consequences of everything that happened when The Riddler (Paul Dano) flooded the city. The actor will also star in Sugar, an Apple TV+ science fiction drama about a private detective.
