‘Oppenheimer’ Sweeps the Oscars 2024!! Check Out the Full List of Winners!!

At the 2024 Academy Awards, Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer took home the most Oscars of the evening, including the coveted wins for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Editing. While Oppenheimer‘s domination was predicted, there was one major upset this evening: Best Actress.

After a highly competitive award season, which pitted Lily Gladstone against Emma Stone, the Academy’s voting body chose Stone as the victor of the aptly dubbed “The Battle of the Stones. While Gladstone inched ahead of the competition with her recent SAG Award for Best Actress, Stone secured her second Oscar tonight, delaying Gladstone‘s inevitable win.

While Gladstone didn’t win her first Oscar tonight, it was a big night for Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Cillian Murphy, and Robert Downey Jr., who went home with their first Academy Awards for their incredible performances this year. In other firsts, Nolan secured his first Academy Award for directing Oppenheimer, while Wes Anderson won his first Oscar for his short film The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, but the latter wasn’t present to accept his first win.

There were a lot of other tremendous wins tonight, including Anatomy of a Fall securing the win for Best Original Screenplay, The Zone of Interest taking home the win for Best International Feature, and Godzilla Minus One crushing the competition in the VFX category. After All Quiet on the Western Front dominated the Academy Awards last year, it was thrilling to see foreign language films walking away with 8 pounds of gold. Keep scrolling to find out who else won at the 96th Academy Awards.
