Camila Morrone is joining The Night Manager Season 2. Per Deadline, Morrone has been cast in a major role for the second season of the spy thriller series. Morrone joins Tom Hiddleston, who will reprise his role of Jonathan Pine for the new season.
Morrone is best known for starring in Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & the Six. For her role as Camila Alvarez-Dunn, Morrone received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Morrone has also appeared in 2024’s Marmalade and 2023’s Gonzo Girl.
Who is Involved in The Night Manager Season 2?
In April 2024, The Night Manager received a two-season order from the BBC and Amazon, with the latter replacing AMC. Series creator David Farr returns to write the series, while Stephen Garrett will lead the production. Georgi Banks-Davies will direct Season 2, replacing Season 1’s director, Susanne Bier.
Based on characters created by John le Carré, The Night Manager Season 2 will begin filming later this year and will follow Hiddleston’s Pine eight years after the Season 1 finale. Season 2 will go beyond le Carré’s original book.
It is unknown if any of Season 1’s stars, besides Hiddleston, will return for Season 2. Elizabeth Debicki is not expected to return as Jed Marshall. Hugh Laurie, who starred as Richard Roper, is back for Season 2 as an EP, but there is no word on whether he will act. Additional plot details are being kept under wraps.
The Night Manager Season 1 aired in February 2016. The series follows Jonathan Pine, the night manager of a luxury hotel recruited by the Foreign Office task force to help investigate arms dealer Richard Roper. The critically acclaimed spy series won two Emmys, including for direction by Bier and music composition by Victor Reyes.

Why not make a real blockbuster as good as Bond or Bourne or any other assassin but for real? Here are 50 plus reasons why Hollywood should make a film based on the life of the accountant/banker come spy Bill Fairclough’s. Fairclough (MI6 codename JJ) aka Edward Burlington is the protagonist in TheBurlingtonFiles series of fact based spy thrillers. If you enjoy noir and genuine espionage read the news article dated 7 August 2023 entitled Bill Fairclough’s Known Life-threatening Incidents in TheBurlingtonFiles website and thank your god you are still alive. After all, you probably weren’t protected by Pemberton’s People in MI6 (see another intriguing news article in the same website dated 3 May 2024 about them).
The news articles were released several years after Beyond Enkription was published which makes them all the more beguiling. Little wonder it’s mandatory reading on some countries’ intelligence induction programs. All this is not only mind-boggling but backed up by some evidence so who needs fictitious spies like Bond and Bourne anymore? Just like the spy novel Beyond Enkription based on Bill Fairclough’s life in 1974, these articles make for sobering yet superb reads as long as you don’t expect John le Carré’s delicate diction, sophisticated syntax and placid plots.
