What To Expect From ‘Nobody 2’?
Tjahjanto is set to direct the film from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem. Given Tjahjanto’s credits on horror and action films like May the Devil Take You and segments of the V/H/S franchise, fans can expect Nobody 2 to deliver the same thrilling excitement and pulse-racing action that fans adored in the original. The producers of the movie also include Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, who produced the 2021 feature as well and their banner 87North was also behind this year’s action-packed The Fall Guy, so fans can prepare for some high-octane action.
Nobody was a sleeper hit and saw Odenkirk’s evolution from a comedy to action star which was praised by fans and critics alike. The feature was set in Winnipeg and as Collider previously reported, the production of the sequel will return to the gritty landscape of the city at the end of the summer to begin filming. Given the production details, the movie seems to maintain its tone in the upcoming sequel.
The original feature delivered a fresh take on the action genre by seamlessly blending dark humor and brutal fight choreography. It became a box office success, grossing approximately $57.5 million worldwide against a $16 million budget, which also sets the stage for the upcoming sequel. The movie has a 94% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes and cast some stellar performances from Lloyd, Aleksey Serebryakov, RZA, and Nielsen.
No release date has been announced for Nobody 2, yet. Meanwhile, Nobody is available on Prime Video to stream.
