The upcoming Jack Ryan movie just got one step closer to being made. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sienna Miller has joined the cast of the production that will continue the legacy of the successful television series. Both titles are based on the character created by Tom Clancy. There’s plenty of mystery surrounding the plot of the movie, but Miller‘s character will serve as a British counterpart to John Krasinski‘s protagonist. It remains to be seen what will happen when the two talented agents cross paths in the film. In the meantime, audiences will have to wait more to find out what’s next for the dangerous analyst.

The new Jack Ryan film will follow in the footsteps of the recent television series based on the character. The title ran over the course of four seasons on Prime Video, becoming one of the most successful productions the streaming platform has ever made. Prime Video has launched projects such as The Boys and Invincible in the last few years. But even if those stories receive high viewership numbers, they are aimed at a different audience than the one that enjoys Jack Ryan. The demand for more of the Tom Clancy adaptation is what convinced the studio to develop a movie that continues the story of the series.

Sienna Miller has been very busy in the past couple of years. The acclaimed actress was recently seen in Horizon: An American Saga. The series of movies created by Kevin Costner, Jon Baird and Mark Kasdan follows various characters across the Midwest during the American Civil War. The project allowed Miller to portray Frances Kittredge. The character is set to appear once again in the second and the third installments of the series, but release dates haven’t been announced for either of those movies.

The Return of Familiar Faces

The upcoming movie based on Jack Ryan will introduce Sienna Miller as an intelligent MI6 agent, but some familiar faces from the television series will also be present once the film is released. James Greer (Wendell Pierce) and Mike November (Michael Kelly) are coming back in the story that will take Jack Ryan to the limit. Time will tell if the analyst will have what it takes to make it out alive of his latest adventure, or if the introduction of Sienna Miller‘s character will lead Jack Ryan to meet his demise.
