What to Expect from ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’?

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is written by Seth Reiss, and is described as “An imaginative tale of two strangers and the unbelievable journey that connects them.” Speaking to Collider, previously, Farrell revealed that it’s not your typical love story but delves into the terrains of “magical realism.” He further shed some light on the plot,

It’s about two people at a stage in their lives — Margot [Robbie]’s character and my character — that find themselves at an emotional crossroads where they’re not living terrible lives, but life hasn’t really worked out for them. They’re both terrible at relationships. Neither have been able to find a moment’s joy in relationships or companionship. And they begin to find that through each other, as a result of this one night where they go on this fantastical journey and get to see from an objective perspective these moments in their lives that, as I said, were very formative, and get to take accountability for times where they hurt people.”

Farrell is riding high on the success of The Penguin series, which has collected many accolades this award season. The show presents a gritty gangster drama set in Gotham City and gave us some killer characters from Batman’s rogue gallery. While the chances of getting The Penguin Season 2 are slim currently, but he’ll certainly return in The Batman II. As for Robbie, the actor took a break after the unprecedented success of Barbie and will be seen next in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey and then in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey arrives in theatres on September 19.
