‘Love, Death + Robots’ Volume 4 Trailer Sees Kevin Hart Play a Talking Fridge!! Check It Out!!

With just a little over two weeks until the premiere of the highly anticipated new season of Death, Love & Robots, Netflix decided to unveil a new trailer for the anthology series that gives a bigger insight into the stories we will see this time around. Once again produced by David Fincher (Fight Club, Gone Girl), the new episodes will feature everything from Mr. Beast and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Kevin Hart (Die Hart) as a fridge. The streamer premieres Season 4 on May 15.

The trailer for the new season of Love, Death + Robots underscores that the series is once again going hard on different styles of animations to tell its stories. It also revealed the titles of the ten new episodes and a glimpse of each of them, as well as what we can expect in terms of story and tone. Fincher himself directs “Can’t Stop,” which recreates an iconic 2003 performance by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but this time band members Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante are presented as string puppets.

“Close Encounters of the Mini Kind” chronicles an alien apocalypse presented in miniatures, while the post-apocalyptic “400 Boys” will tackle warring gangs who are forced to unite a bigger enemy. “The Other Large Thing” has the makings of a fan favorite by telling the story of a cat who is planning world domination but is repeatedly sabotaged by his human owners. He is joined by a peppy robot butler voiced by Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver. A cat is also an important character in “For He Can Keep,” which takes place in 1757 London and centers around a poet in an insane asylum who is thoroughly convinced that Satan is speaking to him and the only one that can help him is a talking kitty.

‘Love, Death + Robots’ Goes Live-Action

Tim Miller also helms and writes “The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur,” which looks like one of the most unhinged entries from the season. In it, genetically modified gladiators fight to the death riding vicious dinosaurs. “Smart Appliances, Stupid Owners” will also get creative with household appliances discussing the careless way they are used by humans.

“How Zeke Got Religion” will take viewers to World War II to follow a B-17 pilot who is tasked with bombing a church filled with Nazis before they can put a sinister plan into action. Last but not least, the series will make a callback to its Season 3 episode “Swarm” with “Spider Rose,” which takes place in the same universe and follows a Mechanist who is on a mission to avenge her husband’s assassination.

Netflix premieres Season 4 of Love, Death + Robots on May 15. You can check out the trailer above.
