Paradise Season 2 has been filming for a few weeks now, and the creative team is certainly not being shy about sharing new looks at production. Days after the official Paradise Instagram account shared a look at returning star Sterling K. Brown and newcomer Shailene Woodley from behind the scenes of Season 2, Dan Fogelman has followed suit and released a new image of Brown from Season 2. The image shows Brown reprising his role as Agent Xavier Collins, looking a bit worse for wear, with one of his eyes even being extremely bloodshot. Hulu has yet to set an official release date for Paradise Season 2, but it’s expected to return to the streamer sometime before the end of next year.
Starring alongside Brown in Paradise Season 1 is James Marsden, who portrays President Cal Bradford. Cal is murdered during the opening moments of Paradise, and although the entire season follows Brown’s Collins investigating his death, he regularly appears in flashbacks. However, there is no word on his involvement in Season 2. Julianne Nicholson also stars in Paradise as Sinatra, the true power figure in the underground city who operates with no supervision or morals. Sinatra is expected to reprise her role in Season 2 and is expected to be an instrumental figure in helping Collins reunite with his wife. Thomas Doherty is the other newcomer announced as part of the Paradise Season 2 cast, and he’s reportedly going to be playing the lead of a biker gang. Further details about the season are being kept under wraps as production continues in the coming weeks.
What Else Has ‘Paradise’ Creator Dan Fogelman Worked On?
Paradise isn’t the first time that Dan Fogelman and Sterling K. Brown have worked together. Fogelman is best known for his work on This Is Us, the romantic series that also stars Mandy Moore and Justin Hartley. He also wrote the script for Life Itself, the 2018 R-rated tragic romance drama starring Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde. Fogelman is also widely regarded as an animation savant due to his work on the original Cars movie, and he was brought back to write the sequel, Cars 2. Fogelman even penned the original Tangled movie, but the live-action iteration of the film was shelved not long ago.
