‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Teaser Trailer Invites To Play One Last Time!! Check It Out!!

Ready or not, the game is about to end. Netflix has officially released the teaser trailer for Squid Game Season 3 — the final chapter in the global phenomenon that redefined streaming, storytelling, and survival thrillers. The series returns June 27, 2025, and if the new footage is any indication, Squid Game plans to go out with blood, mystery, and more mind games than ever. Now, play the creepy merry-go-round music.

Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game quickly became Netflix’s most-watched series of all time with Season 1, and Season 2 followed up by breaking even more records when it premiered in December 2024. In just three days, it became the second most-viewed non-English TV title in the platform’s history, racking up 192.6 million views — second only to Season 1’s staggering 265.2 million. It now stands as the third most-watched season on Netflix ever. But all games must come to an end.

What Is Season 3 of ‘Squid Game’ About?

Season 3 picks up immediately after the devastating events of last season, with Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) reentering the world of the games — not just as a player, but as a man on a mission. Reeling from the death of his closest ally, Jung-bae (Player 390), and enraged by The Front Man’s betrayal, Gi-hun is determined to end the games once and for all. But in the Squid Game universe, intentions are never enough — and the cost of every decision only grows steeper. The official logline is as follows:

The third and final season of Squid Game follows Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) after losing his best friend in the game and being driven to utter despair by The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game. Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game, while the Front Man continues onto his next move and the surviving players’ choices will lead to graver consequences with each round.

The new trailer sets the tone with immediate unease. Pink-suited guards carry a familiar black coffin to a resting area. Inside? Gi-hun himself — unconscious, confused, and about to wake up into yet another nightmare. The visuals quickly spiral into something surreal: a massive gumball machine, red and blue spheres rolling out like fate being decided by chance. Characters glimpsed in the trailer include Detective Hwang Jun-ho, Player 333 Myung-gi, Player 388 Dae-ho, Player 120 Hyun-ju, Player 007 Yong-sik, Player 149 Geum-ja, and others — including pink guard No-eul, but it’s the final sound we hear that leaves a chill — a baby crying. This is not going to be easy to watch.

Squid Game Season 3 will premiere on June 27 on Netflix.
