Liza Colón-Zayas has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The actress who portrayed Tina Marrero in The Bear is ready to make her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to the upcoming sequel. Colón-Zayas‘ role hasn’t been revealed yet. Marvel Studios and Sony remain secretive regarding the Peter Parker (Tom Holland) story, but being released after Avengers: Doomsday could change the status quo of the franchise. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently scheduled to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026. The movie will be launched more than four years after the last installment of the series got close to earning $2 billion at the global box office.

MJ forgot who Peter Parker was thanks to Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) spell, so it remains to be seen if the new movie will introduce a different love interest for the titular hero, or if MJ will remember who Peter was.
