‘Bridgerton’ Already Renewed for Season 5 and 6!!

Attention Gentle Readers! Bridgerton will continue to tell its tale for at least another two seasons. Netflix has announced that the series has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6 alongside the announcement, officially, that Bridgerton Season 4 will be coming in 2026. The hit Netflix series is based on the Julia Quinn book series of the same name. Season 4 will adapt the third book An Offer from a Gentleman, featuring Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) as the lead alongside Sophie Baek as Yerin Ha in a Cinderella-inspired season, kicking off with a masquerade. A new sneak peek was released showing Benedict navigating the masquerade until he spots Sophie and like the true romantic he is, the moment stills as he zeroes in on her. It’s broken by another man coming up behind her asking for a dance, making Benedict realize he has to act before his future slips through his fingers.

Unless Netflix decides to once again reorder the series out of book order (like they did with Seasons 3 and 4) Seasons 5 and 6 will likely follow books 5 and 6: To Sir Phillip With Love and When He Was Wicked, respectively. Book 5 features Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) as our leading lady, exchanging letters and falling in love with Sir Phillip Crane and book 6 follows Francesca Bridgerton’s (Hannah Dodd) second shot at love with Michael Stirling (changed to Michaela in the show).

Season 4 and Beyond Will Take ‘Bridgerton’ Out of the Ton

While there were continue to likely be some focus on the Bridgerton family while in London, including the masquerade that Lady Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) throws where Sophie and Benedict meet, a large portion of the plot, that Luke Thompson has confirmed to be faithful in the show, takes place away from the ton. In Season 4, should it be as faithful as Thompson claims, fans would get to see Benedict’s home, My Cottage (no really, that’s what it’s called), as Benedict recuperates from sickness after a storm he and Sophie are forced to drive through. As seen in the sizzle reel released during the Seasons of Love event in February, we will still get to see a fair bit of the ton, including the return of the other Bridgerton siblings. Our assumed future Seasons 5 and 6 leads Claudia Jessie and Hannah Dodd will both be back Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey are both confirmed to be back as Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton with their growing family. Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan are also slated to be back, with Polin’s storyline featuring their own burgeoning family.

You can watch past episodes of Bridgerton now on Netflix.
